Time...it can do so much!!

Like the words to the song from the movie Ghost..."time goes by so slowly, it can do so much" but it can also fly by and it seems that it has!

So much has happened! I have sold my house, moved everything into storage and am just trying to decide if I want to move to the San Antonio area.

As luck would have it, I have met someone who is really turning into the 'extra' special someone.

Now what to do?

Ice-Mageddon

Wow! We still have not dug out of the ice that fell Thursday evening! My driveway was so bad this morning that I wondered if I would make it to my car without taking a spill on that slippery stuff!

The metroplex has it even worse than we do here in Central Texas. There are still cars and trucks backed up on the Interstate!

This was my yard 4 days after the ice fell. It may look like snow...but it isn't! It is ice and still not melting!

Stay safe...stay warm!

What's in a Name?

I have another blog that I post to that is a little more....um....open than this one. It is The Adventures of Pamazon Barbie (thanks to my friend Heather).

Several friends have asked me how in the world I came up with the name 'Pamazon' for my blog.

A will let you in on a little secret...I am a tall girl...about 5'10" and heels simply add more height to the mix.

As a single woman going out on dates, that height can be a little bit intimidating. I was dating someone about a year ago and he was several inches shorter than I was. One day he made the comment that I was a big girl. I had to correct him and teach him that the correct vernacular was 'tall' girl! LOL!! I added that he made me feel like an Amazon woman when I was standing next to him.
He decided that I needed a nickname. After mulling it over for awhile and remembering the story I told him about my neighbor telling me that I was a "Barbie...a b$tch Barbie," he decided that my name should be Pamazon Barbie.
I rather liked it and it stuck.
I hope your Thanksgiving holiday was filled with fun, family and friends! Mine was fantastic! Until later....
Pamazon!

It's a New Day and the Start of a New Decade!

Welcome! I hope that you will enjoy reading through my blog as I try to answer life's crazy questions and solve all the riddles that come my way. I have reached a mile marker in my life and have forgotten so many of the amazing things that happened that I have decided to chronicle as much of it as I can.

I am an over 50 gal trying to make her way through this maze/chaos that we call life and come out on the other end stronger, wiser and a better person.

I love
my grandchildren and family,
blogging,
pinning,
browsing the Internet,
following other blogs,
learning new skills,
reading 'inspirational' novels,
flirting,
laughing
and everything about life!

Bear with me as I share the funny, the sad, the unbelievable and silly that come my way. I might even share some of the quirks and foibles that seem to permeate my days! But, you will also have to put up with my fears, my loves, and my obsessions!

Several of my friends have confided that they are living vicariously through me...and they are right. I love life and my goal is to enjoy something in each and every day.
